IIM CAT 2018 Official Notification: Most prestigious management entrance examination of the nation i.e. CAT (Common Admission Test) will be conducted on November 25, 2018. An official website www.iimcat.ac.in just informing you about exam date will not solve the purpose. Most crucial document related to testing is yet to be released online i.e. Official Notification of CAT 2018.

And, here comes the most interesting part i.e. in past four years, CAT official notification has been published on last Sunday of July 2018. Means, on 27th July 2014 (Sunday), CAT 2014 official notification was released online. Similarly, CAT 2015, CAT 2016, CAT 2017 official notification were released on Sundays i.e. 26th July 2015, 31st July 2016 and 30th July 2017 respectively.

Following this trend, candidates are expecting the release of CAT 2018 official notification online on 29th July 2018 (Sunday). Official Notification of CAT will also incorporate the list of examination centres. Reportedly, on 25th November 2018, IIM Calcutta will organise CAT examination at 400 different examination centres in almost 144 test cities of India.

After 72 months, Board of Controller of Examinations, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta has got this golden opportunity to conduct CAT 2018 examination under its able guidance. Successful candidates of CAT will get admissions into IIMs and other management institutes and top B schools of India if scored 60 percentile + score.

Within 180 minutes exam duration, better the score, greater the IIM allotted. Basic educational qualifications to appear in CAT 2018 is to have minimum 50% marks scored in any Bachelor’s degree irrespective of Science, Commerce, Arts or any other. Almost every year, more than 2 lakh candidates apply online for CAT examination and less than 2 lakh takes the test.

To be precise, in 2015, 2,18,664 candidates applied and 1,79,602 candidates appeared. In 2016, 2,32,436 candidates applied and 1,95,000 candidates appeared. While in last year, 2,31,067 candidates applied and 1,99,632 appeared. Last year, CAT 2018 Application Form starting date and last dates were 9th August 2017 and 25th September 2017 respectively. While, after releasing online Admit Cards on 25th October 2017, on November 26, CAT 2017 online test was successfully organised across hundreds of cities without paper leak news.
