TS TRANSCO is the Electricity Transmission company of the Government of Telangana state in India. It has ceased to do power trading and has retained with powers of controlling system operations of Power Transmission. Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited has been incorporated under Companies Act, 2013, on 19 May 2014 and commenced its operations from 2 June 2014. It conducts various examinations for the recruitment of eligible candidates in various departments. This year it has released notification for the Assistant Engineer, Junior Lineman, Sub-Engineer posts.

Application Fee:

Each applicant for the post of Junior Lineman and Sub-Engineer (Electrical) will have to pay Rs.100/- towards Online Application Processing Fee. Apart from this, the applicants will have to pay Rs.120/- towards Examination Fee. However, the Applicants belonging to SC/ST/BC Communities and PH are exempted from payment of examination fee.

The application fee has to be paid in advance and can be paid from January 04 to January 20 (for Junior Lineman vacancies) and from January 19 to February 05 for Sub-Engineer (Electrical) vacancies.

Exam Pattern (Junior Lineman):

The written test will have 80 multiple choice questions and each question will carry 1 mark. The section A will have 65 questions on core I.T.I subject and section B will consist of 15 questions on General Knowledge. The test will comprise of multiple-choice questions with only one answer being correct among the four alternatives suggested. The paper will be held in pen and paper mode. The duration of the written examination will be 2 hours.

Exam Pattern (Sub-Engineer):

The written test for Sub Engineer (Electrical) posts will comprise of 80 multiple choice questions and each question will carry 1 mark. Section A will consist of 65 questions on core Diploma subject (Electrical) and section B will consist of 15 questions on General Awareness and Numerical Ability. The duration of the written examination will be 2 hours.
