Chris Hemsworth, an actor who is known for his iconic role as Thor in the MCU, is the latest celebrity that has pledged to donate money towards the bushfire efforts in Australia.
Chris, who is born in Melbourne, Australia, revealed he will be donating $1 Million AUD.
Not only that, Thor has urged others to help the victims so that everyone affected by the massive fires has the best chances of fighting the fires and rebuilding their lives.
In a statement that Chris released on Instagram, he talked about his support towards Australia and the victims.
The statement said, “Like you, I want to support the fight against the bushfires here in Australia. My family and I are contributing a million dollars. Hopefully, you guys can chip in too. Every penny counts so whatever you can muster up is greatly appreciated.”
The statement added, “In my bio I’ve added links to support the fire fighters, organizations and charities who are working flat out to provide support and relief during this devastating and challenging time. Beyond appreciative to everyone around the world for their well wishes and donations. It really does make a difference, so dig deep!”

Chris Hemsworth also shared a link to the fundraiser that is being run by Celeste Barber, a comedian.
Celeste Barber’s Facebook fundraiser has already raised over $41 million dollars, which will be used to help the victims.
WWF estimates around 1.25 billion animals have been killed directly or indirectly from the massive bushfires in Australia.
A statement was released by WWF Australia, they said, “This heart-breaking loss includes thousands of precious koalas on the mid-north coast of NSW, along with other iconic species such as kangaroos, wallabies, gliders, potoroos, cockatoos, and honeyeaters.”
Experts believe it will take Australia to recover from the fires in decades to come.
Several species of animals are now on the way to become extinct in Australia.
