The National School of Drama has started the admissions for the diploma in Dramatic Arts program. Candidates who want to enroll themselves in the program can submit their applications through their official website before April 15, 2019.

Candidates are asked to submit their application forms on their official website which is onlineadmission.nsd.gov.in
Candidates are also asked to submit their documents through their website, the fee for the application submission is Rs. 50. The last date for the online application submission is on April 15, 2019.
Number Of Available Seats In The Course
The official notification says that there are 26 available seats for the admission.
- 2 seats are for the ST Candidates
- 7 seats are for the OBC and PwD Candidates
- 4 Seats are for the SC candidates
The Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have participated in at least 6 theater productions
- Candidates should know how to speak Hindi and English
- The Minimum Age of the candidate should be 18
- The Maximum Age of the candidate is 30
The Selection Process for the Dramatic Arts Course
The selection process has 2 parts, the first part will require the candidates to undergo a preliminary test, and the second part will require the candidates to undergo a workshop.
- The preliminary exams are set to happen on May 6, 2019, and will end on June 16, 2019.
- Candidates who will qualify from the exams will go through a workshop that is set to happen on July 1-5, 2019.
The selection will be done on the basis of the performance of each candidate in the workshop.
The National School of Drama Will Also Provide Financial Assistance
Students who will get chosen for the course will get a monthly allowance of Rs. 8000, this is given by the NSD so that the students can meet their academic expenses.
