“Rudhramadevi”, an upcoming historic drama film, have released a “Making Video Journal” as a birthday gift for the film’s leading lady Anushka Shetty. The actress will be celebrating her birthday on Friday (7 November).  Anushka Shetty gets her special birthday present from the makers of Rudramadevi movie. Director Guna Sekhar released the Rudhramadevi Movie Making Video Journal part 1 on the occasion of the actress birthday.

On Thursday, the makers released a stunning new look fof Anushka Shetty from “Rudhramadevi.”  Anushka plays the role of Rudhramadevi, the princess of Kakatiya dynasty in the film.

Releasing first-look posters, teasers or making videos have become a trend of sorts in Telugu cinema industry. Last year, director Gunaa  Team works presents the Making Video Journal-1 of Rudhramadevi on Anushka’s birthday and this year, he has released a special video on her birthday occasion.

Rudhramadevi is the first 3D historic film, simultaneously being produced in Telugu and Tamil languages. The film stars Anushka Shetty as the queen Radramadevi, Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati in the other lead roles, with Prakash Raj and Krishnam Raju in supporting roles.

Rudrama Devi is the 13th century revered  Telugu queen of the Kakatiya dynasty. Rani Rudhramadevi (1259-1289AD) was one of the most prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty on the Deccan Plateau, being one of the few ruling queens in Indian history.

Anushka Shetty has earlier played Jejjamma’s role in the movie Arundhati, her role in the movie is still iconic. Arundathi is a mile stone in actress acting career. Now, after Arundathi she is again playing a periodical role in as Rudhrama Devi, a Queen of Kakatiya dynasty. The movie also includes Allu Arjun and Rana Daggubatti in other lead roles apart from Anushka Shetty.

Rudrama Devi Movie Making Video:

The making video will give a sneak peek of what to expect from the movie. The two minute video shows how hard they worked for the film. The sets, Anushka’s sword fighting skills, Ilayaraja background score and war sequences are delight to watch.Anushka was majestic and elegance personified as Princess Rudhramadev.This has definitely left everyone waiting for more.

Though it is a female oriented movie with Anushka doing the title role, few other factors are playing a key role. Elements like powerful story, historical fervor, director Gunasekhar’s making and most importantly Allu Arjun doing the role of ‘Gona Gannareddy’ has created enough ammunition.

Produced by Gunasekhar, “Rudhramadevi” is touted to be the first women-oriented film to have been made with a big budget of around ₹50 crore. The film’s music is composed by Ilayaraja, while cinematography is handled by Ajayanan Vincent and edited by Sreekar Prasad.

The historic drama is expected to hit the screens in January 2015.
