Story Line:
Basthi movie is based on a young love story that is innocent, true. Starring Shreyayan and Pragathi during their study fell in love with each other. As usual their parents do not agree for this paring, how both of them struggled to keep their relationship is the complete story of film.

Actress Jayasudha’s son Shreyan’s and Pragathi Chourasiya in the lead roles while Abhimanyu Singh, Mukesh Rishi, Kota, Srinivasa Rao, Saptagiri and Satya Akkala are in the other supporting roles. “Basthi” movie Audio was launched on 21st Jun 2015. The trailer and the music of this “Basthi” movie have already received a good response from the audience. All the lead characters in this movie Shreayan Kapoor making his debut as hero along with Pragathi in female lead have done pretty much good performance and all other supporting stars have done good performance in this movie.

Story:
Story is a very routine one without much uniqueness. Its a gang war between two gangsters who cannot see each other eye to eye i.e Ammiraju (Mukesh Rishi) and the other is Bhavani (Abhimanyu Singh). Ammiraju kidnaps Bhavani sister. Ammiraju’s younger brother Vijay (Shreyaan) returns from USA and gets angry on his brother because of his mischievous activities.
Ammiraju confirms his brother that he will not harm the girl and returns her when things are settled down. In the process Sravanthi and Vijay fall in love. What happens after that is the story line?
Artist Performances:
- Shreyan Kapoor son of Veteran actress Jayasudha, makes his debut with this film, the expectations were little higher but this came as a disappointment.
- Pragathi does a super confident debut and does justice to her character.
- A charming performance indeed. Lipsika Bhasyam dubbing to Pragathi sounded sweet and worked well with the character.
- Comedians Snigdha, Ali, Sapthagiri and Satya failed in tickling the funny bones.

Final Verdict: Failed to reach Audience Expectations:
The movie starts off dumb, with the first half of the movie and the beginning of the second half begrimed. The movie doesn’t seem to have air of comedy and romance which is the life and soul of rom-com films. The romance between the lead pair is blunted. Emotional scenes between the main characters look unrealistic and dim. They fail to evoke any feeling.
