Part 1 Registration:

• Choose the most effective search engine and type www.facebook.com into the search box or in the address bar located at the top of your browser or CLICK HERE to land directly on the facebook login/Signup page.

• You will see the facebook Sign Up screen as shown below and  fill out the “Sign Up” form on the right.

 

• On the Facebook homepage, enter in your first name, last name, email address, password, birthday, and gender. You must use your real name for your account. Nicknames are allowed as long as they are a variation on your real name.
• Click the “Sign Up” button. If all of your information is correct, you will be sent a verification email to the address you provided.

• Open the verification email. It may take a few minutes for the email to get delivered. Click the link in the email to activate your account.
• Fill out the profile info: This is the step for filling out information as required in the boxes. Information required here is your High School name, College or University name, your current employer name, current city, and your Hometown. When you finish filling your information, click on the ‘Save & Continue’ or you can skip this step and do it after having your facebook created.

• Choose Interests: This step offers you with an option to like pages that seem of importance to you such as Musicians, Public figures, breaking news, etc so that you will have an opportunity to receive their content’s Updates directly on your Facebook News Feed. For instance, if you like the Musician’s page, you will receive alerts notifying you about the new updates on their activities. Click on ‘save and continue’ link to go to the last step.

Add a profile picture: The first thing you should do after creating an account is add a profile picture. This will allow others to quickly see who you are, making conversations between friends and family easier.

Add a Cover picture: After adding a profile picture to your facebook account, you can add a cover pic to your account. This makes your profile looks good.

Add friends: Facebook is nothing if you don’t have friends and family to share with. You can search for people by their name or email, import your contact lists, and invite friends that aren’t currently using Facebook.

• When you find someone that you want to add, you will need to send a friend invite. Once they accept your invitation, that person will be added to your Friends list.
