Shri Guru Ravidas Ji, a known Indian mystic poet-saint of the Bhakti Movement, which happened during the 15th to 16th centuries. He is called Guru Ravidas Ji in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. He is a very well-known social reformer, poet-saint, and spiritual figure.

Many believe Shri Guru Ravidas Ji was born in 1371 CE in a family that worked with dead animals, mostly producing leather products. Ravidas Ji was one of the disciples of Bhakti Saint-Poet Ramananda and contemporary of Kabir Ji, a Bhakti Saint-Poet.

The devotional messages and songs of Ravidas Ji are included in the Sikh scriptures, Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the holy guru of the Sikh Religion. The Panch Vani text of the Dadupanthi tradition, which is in the Hindu Religion, also includes a number of poems from Ravidas Ji. Guru Ravidas Ji was known for removing social divisions such as caste and gender. The saint was known for promoting unity in the pursuit of personal spiritual freedoms.
