KFC Only Follows 11 People (5 Spice Girls & 6 Herb Boys) On Twitter And The Reason Behind It Is Pure Genius
We interrupt your day of nonsense to bring you some incredibly important news.
Brand Twitter accounts are rarely that exciting. They are mostly of adverts and buzzwords that clog up your feed, leaving you to hit that “unfollow” button.
Generally, we all have that curiosity to know who the ‘Big Giants’ follow on social media especially on Twitter. Be it celebrities or cricketers or politicians, we all want to know who they are following, isn’t it?
In this regard, KFC is a little different. Judging by their tweets it seems to be run by Colonel Sanders himself, which is impressive given his age.
All I ever need on my birthday is time with close family and friends, and then one absolutely enormous cake. Happy Birthday to me. pic.twitter.com/MVGSt9DXON

Perhaps the best part of their entire account is who they follow. No, it’s not thousands of fans who ask for free stuff if they can get a certain amount of retweets.
KFC’s Twitter account has hit the headlines now and you will be surprised to know why. Well, it’s because the official account of KFC follows just 11 people and the reason behind it is pure GENIUS. It is just 11 people and not just any old 11 people.
The lucky 11 are the five Spice Girls and six chaps called Herb. While this may seem like a random line-up, the group has actually been specially selected by KFC’s social media team.
However, a Twitter user has noticed that the fast food giant has only honored 11 social media users with this privilege.
“Those 11 people? 5 Spice Girls and 6 guys named Herb.”
“11 Herbs & Spices. I need time to process this.”
.@KFC follows 11 people.

11 Herbs & Spices. I need time to process this.

By following 11 Herbs & Spices online, KFC is alluding to their very own top secret recipe.
This post racked up more than 300,000 likes in its first 12 hours. Many have praised KFC’s marketing team for this “genius” idea. After people came to know the reason behind this, they started appreciating the Twitter handler of KFC.
They must have a seasoned marketing person. 😉😉 #seewhatIdidthere

I don’t know who I’m more impressed with, @KFC for doing it or @edgette22 for noticing it https://t.co/avXAV1EkFm

the person that runs the KFC account needs a raise. I don’t care how much they make now. GIVE THEM A RAISE.
