Maharashtra State Board of Secondary SSC and Higher Secondary Education HSC has announced the time table for Secondary School Certificate Examination – Class 10, March 2015 on its official website for the revised course. As per the official time-table, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) theory Examination will commence from 3 March 2015 and will conclude on 27 March 2015

About Maharashtra State Board:

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune 411004 is an Autonomous Body established under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, conducts the HSC and SSC Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri. The Board conducts examination twice a year and the number of students appearing for the main examination is around 14 Lacs for HSC and 17 Lac’s SSC, for the supplementary examination around 6 Lacs students are expected HSC and SSC together. There are about 21000 schools (SSC) and 7000 (HSC) Higher Sec. Schools / Jr. colleges in the entire state.

Some tips that will help students preparing for the exams:

• Do not let stress get the better of you. It’s important to relax and take it as just another exam.
• Avoid over-preparation and last-minute crunching. On the same note, don’t try to compete with other students but follow your own schedule.
• The days in between exams are not for learning new concepts! Once the exam days start, do not attempt to assimilate new material. Instead, spend time revising important points.
• Remember, the board offers six attempts to each student to pass the boards. So even if you don’t do well in the first attempt, it’s all right.
