Microsoft Launches its Own App Store Within Google Store – Lets You Explore More Apps With Much Ease

Microsoft, the software firm has launched its own app store on the Google Play Store. The newly launched Microsoft Apps Store is in the form of an app that facilitates users to explore more and more Android applications with much ease. Through this new App store, users will be able to access and download any of the Android apps directly from the Redmond-based tech giant without any issues. The new App Store is usually in the form of an app through which one can quickly find out any of their favorite app which are Android-compatible. Some of the Apps such as Office, Skype, and Wunderlist are the most commonly used Microsoft apps.

Microsoft Creates its Own App Store

The intention behind this move by the tech giant is to have its apps on each and every user’s screen that eventually enhances the popularity and usage of Windows all over the world. As we all know, the traditional Windows Operating system introduced by the monstrous software firm yet holds its highest place as a domineering platform in the PC sphere. But, it couldn’t achieve the similar topmost position when it comes to the mobile phones sphere. The software company has been grappling a lot across its rivalries to establish itself as a sovereign platform in the Mobile phones as well.

Microsoft Builds its Own App Store on Google Play Store

According to a survey conducted by an American information technology research and advisory firm namely, Gartner has given its third quarter 2015 report wherein the sales of smartphones running Windows Phone only estimated for 1.7 percent of the total (down by 1.3 points).

This, eventual drop down has led the company towards this new initiative of creating a new App store within the Google Play Store in the form of an app. That is the reason, the giant company has now launched Microsoft Apps Store with an ample variety of categories such as productivity, education, entertainment, communication, news, finance, photography and more. All these apps in the App store contain links to almost 80 apps which are categorized by theme as mentioned above.

Explore and Download Microsoft Apps by Category

Apart from these most well-known apps such as the Microsoft Office suite and Skype, Microsoft Apps lets you explore other familiar apps that it wishes to bring to the fore. There are many other apps bought by Microsoft that include the task manager Wunderlist and the calendar app Sunrise. It will be handy for all the Android users to see what apps they have previously installed and explore new apps from the new App Store to download them onto their smartphones.

By launching its own App Store, Microsoft is making sure that at least its standard Windows apps like Skype, Words, Excel, Powerpoint are easily accessible to users, even if the smartphone users are not on a Windows 10 OS mobile operating system. The new Microsoft Apps Store is free and you can now download the app from the Google Play Store.
