Here’s some really big good news for all the fans of reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ and bigger news for superstar Salman Khan Fans.Putting all rumor’s to rest, Colors TV on Monday confirmed that Salman Khan will host the eight season of celebrity reality show Bigg Boss.

There were also rumors’ of Shahrukh Khan being signed on for this Big Boss 8 Season.

The ‘Bigg Boss’ is an Indian edition of British reality show ‘Big Brother’ with the same format. The first season of ‘Bigg Boss’ was hosted by Arshad Warsi, the second by ‘Big Brother’ winner and actress Shilpa Shetty and eventually by megastar and legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. And since Salman Khan has become synonymous with the show.

Big Boss has always been in the middle of controversies after Salman Khan took over as the host of Bigg Boss from Amitabh Bachchan in the year 2010.

With Bigg Boss 4, Salman’s first year with the show as the host, he was clearly seen very supportive of Ashmit Patel. Year 2011, Bigg Boss 5: Salman visibly avoided Shakti Kapoor, and was rude with Pooja Bedi and Akashdeep Saighal, a.k.a. SKY.

In 2012, during Bigg Boss 6, Salman had verbal spats with Sapna Bhavnani and Imam Siddique. Salman on other hand was always supportive of Sana Khan, who was later casted in his upcoming film Jai Ho.

While, in 2013, in the ongoing Bigg Boss 7, there has been a huge debate going around that Salman is supporting Tanishaa Mukerji and Armaan Kohli, while being unfair to Gauahar Khan and Kushal Tandon.

Here’s hoping Season Big Boss Season 8 will keep us as entertained as always. With Salman Khan as the host again the show will surely spring up some surprises and controversies again.

It’s believed that the channel has understood Salman Khan’s importance to the show and has offered Salman Khan   Rs 5-6 crore per week.
