SBI Associate Bank Clerk Cadre Exam Review & Analysis:

State Bank Of India is the largest Bank in India which is also famous as SBI. It has its 5 branches of associate bank similar as State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Hyderabad and State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur. It is providing better Banking services to the people since 1955 its nationalized year. It has its branches situated in foreign countries also.

SBI conducted online examination on 24th January. The test consists of 5 sections

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.

The passing marks in each of the tests will be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level. Candidates are also required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon) for being considered for interview. Minimum percentage marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank.

English Section today tested the skills of the candidate writing the exam. He/she may face difficulty in the Reading Comprehension because it consumes lot of time. Easily one can attempt 30+ questions from this section.

24 Jan SBI Associate Clerk Reasoning Ability Afternoon Shift Review & Analysis:

The section was rated very moderate. In this section questions were asked from the topics Series completion, syllogisms, Decision making, Statements, Analogy, Coding & Decoding, Blood relations, Sitting arrangements and Classification. One can attempt 28 to 30 questions in this section.

Number of Questions in Reasoning: 40 questions.

24 Jan SBI Associate Clerk General Awareness Afternoon Shift Review & Analysis:

General Awareness part is usually expected to be tougher. The question asked in general awareness are from different streams like Indian Constitution, Technology and Research News, India and its nearby countries’ news, Knowledge of current events, Sports, history, geography, culture etc. So in this case you will find this section a bit difficult. One can attempt 25+ questions in this section.

Possible Attempts: 28 to 30 questions

24 Jan SBI Associate Clerk Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge Afternoon Shift Review & Analysis:

This section was very easy compared to other sections and on can easily attempt 30+ questions in this section. The topics covered Questions of Computer Software and Hardware, Operating System, Shortcut Keys, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet & Networks, Economy of India, Marketing and Banking & Finance.

Number of Questions: 40

Possible Attempts: 33 to 35 questions

Interview Process for SBI Associate Clerk Exam:

Candidates qualified in the test will be placed according to their marks in descending order in respective categories. Depending upon the number of vacancies only certain number of candidates from amongst those who qualify by ranking high enough in the merit will be called for interview in the ratio of maximum 3 candidates for each vacancy. Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks (to be decided by the bank) in interview to be considered for final selection.

5% relaxation for SC/ST/ OBC/PWD/XS category will be available thereon. The knowledge of local languages will be tested in the interveiw. 10% weightage would be given out of total marks (35) for interview for possessing working knowledge of local language. Final selectionwill bemade on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test and interview taken together.
