Sending strong indications that it is capable of conducting the Intermediate Examinations, Telangana Government constituted the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE). While Higher Education Minister acts as Chairman of Intermediate Board, Secretary of Higher  Education will be serving as Vice-Chairman. Sailaja Ramaiyer, Managing Director of Handicrafts Development Corporation, was choosen as Secretary of TSBIE with full additional charge.

Telangana State Intermediate Board:

Telangana State Government decided to form its own Board of Intermediate Education. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao signed on the file completing the formalities for the formation of the Board in a process similar to the formation of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

Education minister G. Jagdish Reddy held parleys with officials a couple of days ago on the issue of bifurcation of Board of Intermediate Education in the face of mounting delay. However, sources said that the Chief Minister has given his go-ahead and signed on the file pertaining to the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education. A new secretary to the Board will also be appointed by the government shortly.

Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE):

M Veerabhadraiah, former BIE Secretary, and Mukthdhar, former Controller of Examinations, were appointed to assist the Secretary of TSBIE. Around 10 Officials including Vice-Chancellors of  Universities and Principles of Governments Colleges will be offering services to TSBIE as members. A GO was issued by Telangana Government directing the Secretary of TSBIE to hold Intermediate  Examinations in March, 2015.

Telangana Inter Board created

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education promotes the vision of world-class education in Telangana  through quality leadership, support, and services. It aims at continuous improvement of education in the State. The BIE regulates and supervises the system of Intermediate education. It executes and governs various activities that include devising of courses of study, prescribing syllabus, conducting examinations, granting affiliations to colleges and, providing direction, support and leadership for all educational institutions under its jurisdiction.
