Vijay Kaththi / Kathi Tamil Movie Review & Rating
Most awaited tamil movie of the year “Kaththi” starring vijay was released in tamilnadu and across the world today (Oct 22nd, 2014). After tasting massive Diwali success in 2012, Vijay and A.R.Murugadoss are back with their second outing together, Kaththi. And this movie was directed by A.R.Muragadoss and produced by Lyca Productions. Anirudh Ravichander composed tunes and background score for this film. Samantha paired up with vijay for the 1st time and Bollywood star “Neil Mukesh playing villain role in this film. After the huge success of the Vijay and ARM Combo “Thupakki” again they are back with “Kaththi”.
The response coming from the opening shows are positive. People are talking about Vijay’s Performance, pre-interval action sequence and the good storyline. The film features Vijay in two contrasting but physically ‘identical’ dual roles, Kathiresan and Jeevanantham. While Kathir is a crook who is on the run and one with 24 previous visits to the jail, Jeevanantham is a sober, educated 37 year old activist who strives for the betterment of his impoverished village where water is a big concern and their paths cross very early in the movie. Vijay has used this opportunity to play diverse roles in the same movie and proves his experience as a performer and as an entertainer.

Analysis:
ARM & Vijay Combo “Kaththi” again impressed the audience with strong strong line. Kaththi is a good social message oriented film in a commercial form. 1st half of the movie starts with the slow narration and ends with good interval bang. The way AR.Muragadoss handled the 2nd half was outstanding. Anirudh Ravichander gave topnotch Background score (BGM) for Kaththi. The sword of Destiny & Villain theme worked out well. Pakkam Vanthu & Selfie Pulla songs visual feast for Thalapathy fans. George. C. Williams Cinematography was good. Finally, “Kaththi” is a good commercial with a social message.
kathi Story line:
The story starts with a twist. As for the story, Vivek Banerjee (played by Bengali actor Tota Roy Choudhury) the notorious international gangster gives sleepless nights to our cops. As the saying goes “to cut a diamond with a diamond” our cops take the help of another criminal mastermind Kathiresan aka Kaththi (played by Vijay) to catch hold of Vivek Banerjee. After a hot cat and mouse chase in the dingy guttered alleys of Kolkata and rocking fights with the goons Vijay finally catches the grievously injured gangster Vivek Banerjee and sees him thrown in jail. As usual our Vivek Banerjee in jail swears that he will kill Vijay. After coming out of jail Vivek Banerjee goes to meet Vijay. In a raining verbal encounter that takes place the gangster Vivek realizes that Vijay is only a dummy or a shadow. Shadow of Who? Dummy of Who? Will Banerjee kill Kathiresan? Well, you have to go and watch Kaththi and find out yourself.
