New York Man Uses His Drone To Find Dog That Got Lost For 10 Days In The Woods

A dog that got lost in the forest for 10 straight days was saved by hoomans thanks to a drone that was being operated by humans.

A 16-month-old pale-coated golden retriever named Meadow went missing in a wooded area near their house in New York City, USA.

But thanks to a hiking guide and a drone, the dog was rescued.

Brian James, a drone pilot, along with a hiking guide rescued the dog after it went missing.

Gary and Debbie Morgan, the parents of Meadow, placed reward posters detailing their missing dog’s plight.

Despite all that, the couple did not find the dog.

James, the drone pilot, got to see the posters and despite not knowing the family, he decided to do his part and helped out in the search.

James set out to look in the area where Meadow was last seen and used his drone to scan a mile radius.

During the search, the camera of the drone saw a tiny dot of white moving between trees and after zooming in, they just knew it was the dog.

The sighting was confirmed and James drove to the coordinates that were being relayed by the drone.

After a couple of seconds, Meadow, the dog, ran towards the rescuer without any hesitation.

The dog had been missing for 10 straight days and luckily, they were not harmed.

The Morgans said that they were thrilled and relieved to be reunited with their pet dog.

They said that when Meadow went missing, they felt like they had lost their child.

During an interview with ABC World News Tonight, Gary said:

At the last second, he saw a small white dot on the forest floo. [We] are so grateful for Brian for showing up when he did and being able to rescue her.

James, the drone pilot, said that having access to the right equipment allowed them to find the dog after it went missing.

Such an amazing rescue!
