1. TBHQ, or tertiary butyl hydroquinone:
It is an aromatic organic compound and type of phenol used in many foods in order to prevent deterioration of food.
This harmful compound is also used in other products, such as perfumes and bio-diesel.
This compound is usually used in many different cosmetic and beauty products like hair conditioners, silly putty and in aquarium tank sealants. It is added to many cooking oils (as an antifoaming agent) to prevent oil splatter during the cooking process.
