2 people were killed in a bus accident, 24 people were also injured. The bus was on its way to Vaishno Devi from Gujarat when the bus overturned along the Jammu-Pathankot highway when the accident happened.

The travelers were returning from Vaishno Devi and were heading to Amritsar when the bus ran into a divider before reaching the Dayala check.

People and rescuers nearby rushed and helped rescue the people involved in the accident, the injured are now admitted in a hospital in Kathua.

18 of the injured people were referred to the Government Medical Hospital in Jammu, 2 of the passengers were declared dead when they reached the hospital.

Officials say that the conditions of some of the passengers are critical, also the identities of the deceased are not yet known.
