In a police press, the Panipat police said a 15-year-old girl from Panipat, Haryana, was gang-raped by 2 men in a moving car.

The 15-year-old girl, who is a Grade 11 student, was found unconscious near a park and was rushed to a hospital in Chandigarh.

The girl was brought to a private hospital.

SP (Superintendent of Police) Sumit Kumar said the accused rapists have been arrested.

The police have also seized the car that was used to rape the girl.

According to the family of the girl, the 15-year-old girl didn’t return home after she attended her tuition classes on Friday.

On January 24, 2020, the family of the girl came to know that the 15-year-old girl was lying unconscious near a park.

Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the accused men knew the 15-year-old girl and called her, inviting the teen to attend a birthday, which was allegedly being celebrated at the DAV Park.

The girl came to the scene finding 4 men that were drinking inside a car.

The men forced her to consume alcohol, where she fainted and was later raped by 2 men.

After raping the 15-year-old, the accused left her near the park, where her scooter was parked.

A case has been registered against the men after the statement of the victim was recorded.

The men are currently facing charges under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
