Police Report: On Saturday, 45-year-old Somnath Mitra was arrested after he beat his 70-year-old mother to death.

Senior Inspector Chandrakant Jadhav from the Bhayander Police Station said that 45-year-old Somnath Mitra, who lives in the Mandvi Lake Area, was reported to have frequent arguments with his 70-year-old mother.

He added, “They had a fight at around 9 am today. 45-year-old Somnath Mitra banged the 70-year-old’s head against the wall, killing her instantly. He has been arrested and charged with murder.”
