Have You Ever Seen Cricket Been Played Without Bails On The Stumps? Afghanistan And Windies Played Without The Bails[Watch Video]
Cricket is one of the most loved games in the world. It is indeed a festival, where you can see some great cricketing moments from disciplines of batting, bowling and fielding. It had its share of controversies and some bizarre scenes of catches and drama on the field which often make us spellbound.
In cricket, the bails are one of the most critical factors in determining whether a batsman is out or not as they have to be completely dislodged to ascertain whether a player can be adjudged bowled, stumped, run out or hit wicket.
But have you ever seen cricket been played without bails on the stumps? Not many times you would have witnessed such a scenario in the game.
But what happened at the Gros Islet would be remembered for ages to come, as the West Indies played the visiting side Afghanistan without a bail. Yes, the Afghanistan and Windies played without bails as the conditions were breezy and bails were not sticking with the stumps and the umpires decided to play without them in the 20th over of the match.

Rashid Khan showed his good form as he gave a headache to the Windies batsmen who found it hard to pick the leg spinner and especially his googlies were lethal. He bowled a mindblowing spell of 7 for 18 and just ran through the Windies batting line-up.
While removing the bails did not create any controversies in the game, the match itself turned out to be one of the best days in Afghanistan’s cricket history.
