Air India Airplanes will be seen With a Mahatma Gandhi Logo
For the 150th birth anniversary of the freedom fighter of India Mahatma Gandhi, Air India has added a logo to their aircraft.
As of now, there are only 2 aircraft that have the logo, the logo can be seen on the left side of the fuselage. Air India said that they will add the logo to 163 aircrafts later this year.
Air India said: “The logo to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s 150 year birth anniversary was embossed on Air India’s Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft last week. The two aircraft have since been operating on both domestic as well as international routes. The plan is to have all 163 aircraft belonging to Air India, Alliance Air, and Air India Express to be embossed with the logo within the next 3-months. It takes about 5-hours to get the logo embossed on an aircraft. After that, it is thrust back into service.”
They added: “We will also unveil the logo on one of the Airbus aircraft during the upcoming Aero India Show to be held in February in Bengaluru.”
Air India has 125 commercial aircraft under their name, all of them will be getting the logo of Mahatma Gandhi.
Air India is also planning to play the favorite bhajans of Mahatma Gandhi during its flights, they are also trying to add short videos on all of their aircraft that are traveling abroad.
The Indian Government is planning to add pictures of Mahatma Gandhi on buses, metro rails, and trains.
