The Chanakya National Law University, Patna released notification and invited online applications for the CLAT 2017. Common Law Admission Test is a national level examination which is conducted once in a year in the month of May. This CLAT test will be organized by the Chanakya National Law University from Patna. CLAT 2017 Notification:

Common Law Admission Test is a national level test for admission into 17 institutions in India. The candidates can attend this test after the Higher Secondary Examination or 12th grade to get admission into under graduation programs in Law and after graduation in Law for Master of Law.

CLAT is conducted by 17 law universities in India will give an opportunity to the candidates to learn law education from all the 17 National Institutional. These institutes offer courses like BA LLB(Hons), BSc LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), BSW LLB (Hons), BCom LLB (Hons) and LLM. The test for these courses will conduct in 50+ test centers.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

The candidates should pass 10+2 or some equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% of marks and SC/ST candidates should pass with 40% marks. Candidates applying for PG program should have to pass LLB or other equivalent degrees with a minimum of 55% of marks for all general category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST category.

Age Limit:

The candidates should have a limit of 20 years for general candidates and 22 years for reserved candidates.

Application Fee:

The candidates should have to pay Rs. 4000/- as an application fee and all reservation category have to pay Rs. 3500/-.

Exam Pattern:

• The entrance exam will be an Online Computer Based Test.
• The examination will be in the English language.
• The exam will be for 2 hours duration.
• The exam paper will have 150 MCQs.
• For each correct answer, it carries 1 mark and 0.25 for negative marking.
