The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released examination date and schedule of the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2017. IIT Madras is going to conduct JEE Advanced 2017 on 21st May 2017. IIT JEE 2017 is a national level exam which is conducted for admissions into various undergraduate programmes in IIT’s located in Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi,Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mandi, Madras, Palakkad, Patna, Ropar, Roorkee, Tirupati, Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU) Varanasi and Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad for the academic session 2017.

IIT JEE Advanced 2017:
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. The JEE scores form the basis of admission into NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical Institutions. Candidates can check the important details from the official website.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational qualification:
The candidates should be among the top 2,20,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2017.
The percentages of various categories are:
- OBC-NCL: 27 per cent
- SC: 15 per cent
- ST: 7.5 per cent
- 50.5 per cent is open for all
Attempts:
A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
Examination Schedule:
The JEE Advanced 2017 consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The duration of each paper will be three hours. Both the papers will be held on the same day in morning and afternoon sessions.
- Paper I : 21st May 2017 – 9 AM to 12 PM
- Paper II: 21st May 2017 – 2PM to 5 PM
Age limit:
The candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1992. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.
