Indian Air Force Jaguar Fighter Plane Crashes In UP

 

A fighter jet crashed today in Kushinagar a place 322km from Lucknow, the jet was part of the Indian Airforce. Pilot Wing Commander Rohit Katoch ejected right on time and landed safely.

The fighter plane was on its routine mission, the jet took off from the Gorakhpur Air Base. The court has ordered to conduct an inquiry about the reason behind the crash.

Officer RN Mishra said: “The pilot landed the plane at a distance from that place using his tactical expertise. He saved the lives of others as well as his own.”

Initial investigations revealed that the fighter plane started to face technical problems after it took off from the Gorakhpur Air Base.

When Wing Commander Rohit Katoch was returning to the Gorakhpur air base, the fighter jet crashed.

Wing Commander Rohit Katoch is one of the best pilots in the Jaguar Fighter Team, he is also the Commander of the 27 Squadron of the Jaguars in the Gorakhpur Air Base. A flight commander of a squadron is the second person in command in the unit.

The Indian Air Force has 100 Jaguar Fighter Planes, all of them are from Europe and were brought to India in the late 1970s.

The Indian Air Force is planning to upgrade its fighter planes, this will allow them to have longer range striking capabilities.
