Indian Father Convicted Of Raping 14-Year-Old Daughter

A special court in Muzaffarnagar convicted a father for raping his 14-year-old daughter on Thursday.

The grandfather, grandmother, and uncle of the 14-year-old girl were acquitted due to lack of evidence.

Sanjiv Kumar Tiwari, a POCSO (Protection of Children From Sexual Offences) court judge has set February 24, 2020, for the punishment of the accused.

Dinesh Kumar Sharma, a special lawyer for Protection of Children From Sexual Offences, said that the mother of the 14-year-old girl filed a complaint with the police and alleged that her husband raped their daughter.

The mother of the 14-year-old said that the incident happened when her daughter was visiting the house of her parents on July 17, 2016.

The mother of the 14-year-old said that her father-in-law, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law knew what happened.

The mother said the family of her husband supported what was happening and did not do anything to stop her husband from raping his daughter.

On Thursday (February 20, 2020), the special POCSO court found the man guilty.

Special POCSO Lawyer Dinesh Kumar Sharma said the grandfather, grandmother, and the uncle of the girl were acquitted from the case because the evidence against them was not enough.
