Police Report: An old woman who was 60-years-old died after it got hit by an army truck on Thursday, the incident happened in the district of Imphal East. The police added that she died on the spot after sustaining serious injuries.

The accident happened at the area of Khurkhul which is around 20 kilometers away from the capital of the state, when 2 women were on their early morning walk near the army headquarters at Leimakhong.

The officers of the army took the injured women to the Leimakhong Army Hospital, the doctors there said that the other woman is now out of danger.

Locals from the area started to protest and even blocked the roads as part of their protest. Some officers from the police and army officials talked to the protesters which led them to remove the blockades from the road.
