Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor B Ram Mohan and Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy along with the officials of GHMC visited New Delhi to participate in Municipal Council meet and to study the best practices of Delhi city in providing civic amenities and got familiar with the facilities provided by the New Delhi Municipal Council especially street lighting, parking, footpaths.

Mayor B Rammohan after Delhi tour spoke to media and said that “his team, which also included Telangana’s representative Tejawat Ram Chandrudu in New Delhi, undertook the tour according to the orders of the Minister KT Rama Rao to study the public amenities especially those that are being provided for the public for free of cost in the national capital.”

The Mayor also said that “they had a meeting with the chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Naresh Kumar to discuss the implementation of Sanitary programs, providing the public amenities and revenue collections and redressal of public issues etc. in Delhi. The Hyderabad team learnt that 95 percent of houses in New Delhi have solar power generating panels on their roof tops which is made mandatory for new constructions. The multi-level parking facility in Delhi was appreciable and it would be implemented in Hyderabad also.”
