About 600,000 aspirants had taken NEET-1 in the month of May and around 475,000 aspirants appeared for NEET-2 in the month of July 2016. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG is an entrance examination in India, for students who wish to study any graduate medical course (MBBS), dental course (BDS) & NEET PG for the postgraduate course (MD / MS) in government or private medical colleges in India.NEET-UG (Undergraduate), for MBBS and BDS courses, will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET-UG replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves. However, many colleges and institutes have taken a stay order and conducted private examinations for admission to their MBBS and BDS courses.

CBSE NEET Toppers List 2016:

Het Shah of Nadiad from Gujarat topped the exams scoring 685 out of 720, followed by Ekansh Goyal with 685 from Rourkela, Odisha. The third rank was secured by Nikhil Bhajiya with a score of 678 marks.

AIPMT NEET Phase I & Phase 2 Pass percentage 2016:

About 19,325 students have qualified in the top 15%, of which 11,058 are boys, 8,266 girls, and 1 is a transgender. CBSE has also announced the top 10 candidates who scored 99.998632 percentile (668 marks out of 720) and above. In all eight candidates scored 670 and above in the exam.
