Panic At Taj Mahal’s East Gate After Monkey Leaves 5 Liter Pressure
Taj Mahal, Agra: Panic at the east gate of Taj Mahal, a famous tourist spot in Agra, after a monkey left a 5-liter pressure cooker, which many security officers believed to be an improvised explosive device.
The incident happened on September 27, 2019.
Initially, the explosive detector that is used by the security personnel falsely detected 40 percent of explosives inside the pressure cooker.
According to local news agencies in the Taj Mahal, the pressure cooker was recovered by the security officers of the East Gate by 9 AM, just before the namazis started to arrive at the Taj Mahal to offer namaz.
The security officers who saw the abandoned pressure cooker informed the head security officers of the Taj Mahal.
The head officers told them to evacuate the area and use an explosive vapor detector at the pressure cooker.
The detector “falsely” detected 40 percent of explosives inside the pressure cooker.
Upon further search and investigation, the experts found out that the detector malfunctioned.
During the investigation, a local resident came to the scene and informed the CISF personnel that she saw a monkey carrying around a pressure cooker in the area.
