After the success of entertaining and engaging yet light-hearted narratives like Vicky Donor and Piku, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar returns to his dramatic roots in Pink, his first film as producer.

Amitabh Bachchan unveiled the striking PINK trailer in an event held in Mumbai. Starring Amitabh Bachchan as a grey-haired lawyer, the film also features Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Taring, Angad Bedi and Piyush Mishra.

Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Pink seems to revolve around a woman’s fight for justice. What makes some scenes in Pink spooky is the implied violence, and also Bachchan’s ‘look’ — a mask that covers half his face in several of the sequences.

Taapsee along with her two friends, seem to be trapped in the vicious circle of crime and constantly being threatened by their assailants. They find themselves in a terrible mess as police starts questioning them about the intimate details of the crime.

It gets even worse when they are cross-questioned about the same in the court room by the defending lawyer. The two-and-half-minute trailer is loaded with suspense and is fast-paced and intense. The trailer will leave you in splits for sure.
