This was disclosed at a meeting of the district BJP unit here on Tuesday in the preparation of the event slated to take place at 5 p.m. on the day of Mr Modi’s visit.

Mr. Modi will talk on how strengthening booth-level committees in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh had helped the BJP succeed in elections repeatedly. He is expected to exhort the party workers to follow the example.

The BJP district committee is utilising the chance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first visit to the state, scheduled on August 7, by activating its ground-level committees to strengthen the party to take up several programmes in the coming days.

The organising secretary of the committee looking after Prime Minister’s visit Manthri Srinivas and State secretaries Muralidhar Goud and Rama Devi attended the meeting and discussed the arrangements for the booth-level committee members to be taken to Hyderabad on August 7.

They told the booth-level in-charge persons across the district to organise travel for at least 5 members from each committee.

“The list of members, who wish to attend the meeting, has been submitted to the representative of the party’s State level committee,” he added.
