Jaipur, India: A 14-year-old girl that was raped by her neighbor on January 27, 2020, died from complications of the assault at a hospital in Jaipur.

According to the police, the girl was raped by her neighbor, who also tried to strangle her to death, on January 27, 2020.

The 14-year-old girl, whose identity was not shared with the public, was rushed to the J K Lon Hospital in Jaipur after the incident.

The 14-year-old girl died on the evening of February 4, 2020.

20-year-old Besant Meena, the rapist, went to the house of the girl when she was alone and raped her.

Meena reportedly sent the brother of the 14-year-old girl to buy biscuits, when he was away, he raped the girl.

Sangeeta Meena, a police officer in Jaipur, said, “He also tried to strangle her and left the girl in an unconscious state. She was rushed to a nearby hospital from where she was referred to JK Lon Hospital in Jaipur.”

The accused was arrested on Tuesday.

An autopsy has been ordered to know the exact cause of the victim’s death.

Dr. Ashok Gupta, the Superintendent of JK Lon Hospital, said the details of the girl’s death will be announced after the autopsy reports arrive.
