Telangana EAMCET 2 May Be Cancelled Due To Paper Leakage, Hyderabad CID Taken 3 Into Custody

Telangana EAMCET 2 exam might be cancelled due to paper leakage scam. Minister C. Laxma Reddy on Wednesday said that “the final decision will be taken on the fate of Eamcet-2 based on the CID investigation report into the alleged leak, which is expected to be given to the government on Thursday.”

According to the reports, 69 students got the leaked question papers and scammers collected Rs 40 lakhs to Rs 70 lakhs from each student. CID officials concluded that TS EAMCET -2 question paper was leaked from Delhi printing press. The question papers leakage has links with Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi. The reports  said that a meeting was conducted in Bengaluru for 30 students and the paper was allegedly leaked to 30 students. For TS EAMCET 2 question paper, each candidate paid Rs 50 lakhs and paid Rs 10 lakhs as advance.

Rajagopal Reddy, Vishnu, Tirumal and Ramesh are in the custody of Hyderabad CID and the remaining four are absconding. In this leakage case,  about 69 students were involved and the deal is for about 50 crores. The details of the candidates are as follows.

“Both tests can be held in few days gap and counselling be taken up in August. Some parents are seeking legal advice on this,” a coaching faculty expert said. Mr. K. Damodar Rao, the parent of a student who took Eamcet-2, said, “The ongoing developments reflect irregularities took place in the exam. In this scenario holding a fresh exam is the best way to do justice to students.”

The EAMCET 2 examination was held on 9th July for filling up MBBS and BDS seats in Telangana state and the results for the same were announced on 13th July in which 47,644 had qualified in the exam.
