Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is going to conduct Group-I Services mains examination on 29th, 30th, 31st July 2016. Earlier, the commission conducted the Group I Prelims examination in the month November 2015. The results of the same were also declared. TNPSC Group I Mains Admit Card 2016:

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has a particular distinction of being the successor of the first Provincial Public Service Commission, i.e., the Madras Service Commission which came into being under an Act of the Madras Legislature in 1929, in order to recruit persons to the Provincial and Subordinate Services. In 1936, the name was modified as “The Madras Public Service Commission”. It came to known as Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission from the year 1970 on-wards.

The Commission conducts Departmental Examinations for Government Servants and also conducts the examination on behalf of the Government of India, Ministry of Defence for admission to the School run by the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehra Dun. As every year it conducts the various examinations for the recruitment of eligible candidates in various departments. Similarly this year also it has released the notification for the candidates who had qualified in degree in various disciplines.
