News, Swachh Bharat: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi’s “My Clean India” project, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, is a national campaign by the Government to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country.

And now Bollywood stars Kangana Ranaut, Big B Amitabh Bachchan, and many more celebrities endorsing it. The latest short film released on August 10 has an interesting theme wherein actor Kangana Ranaut appears as goddess Laxmi who disappears in front of everyone who litters.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan has recruited actors Kangana Ranaut and Amitabh Bachchan to remind India that ‘cleanliness is next to godliness.’

Titled as ‘Don’t Let Her Go’, the campaign features an ad directed by Pradeep Sarkar which sees actors Omkar Kapoor, Ravi Kishan, Isha Koppikar littering and then seeing the picture of Goddess Laxmi near them disappearing. Not to mention, the show stealer – Amitabh Bachchan’s voice-over – which makes the entire short film worth watching till the end.

“I, Amitabh Bachchan, request you to keep your environment clean. Swachh Bharat should not only be Prime Minister’s dream but all of ours,” he says in the video.

Kangana looked gorgeous in her red nine-yard saree which she complimented with a lotus in one hand and a pot full of gold in another. Fine jewellery and a gold crown, further added the element of beauty to her. With her current look, she did manage to look like a real Goddess.

Actress Kangana Ranaut said at the launch of the short film that her life changed after she adopted these techniques.

“I studied Vedanta, followed Swami Vivekananda. I learnt how can I uplift myself, uplift energies and make changes. Like, it has various factors, external and internal cleanliness. I started with external cleanliness… It is a basic exercise. When I started adopting that, things started changing in my life. Now, I take the shower, stay clean and make sure I don’t litter in the surroundings. I haven’t littered for the past 12 years.”
