Exodus: Gods and Kings Movie Official Theatrical Trailer:

Ridley Scott doesn’t make small movies. Even Alien, back in 1979 – with its $11.5 million budget – was huge. If his creative output has steadily grown in scale over the years, his latest end eavour is, apparently, his biggest yet. While eager fans seem to have been discussing Exodus: Gods And Kings forever, a new trailer has finally been released that showcases exactly what is to be expected from Scott’s new epic.

Starring Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, John Turturro, Aaron Paul, Ben Mendelsohn, Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley, Exodus: Gods And Kings is written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage (Tower Heist), along with Jeffrey Caine (The Constant Gardener) and Steven Zaillian (American Gangster). While, admittedly, the title sounds as though Scott intends to kick-start a Bible-based cohesive cinematic universe of movie franchises (as studios are currently wont to do), the trailer itself is undeniably thrilling – provided you ignore the obligatory and tiresome soundtrack of two grown men growling at each other.

Exodus: Gods and Kings Official Theatrical Trailer:

The trailer provides a glimpse of sweeping battle scenes, epic vistas, and plenty of metaphorical chest-beating – but it seems as though, quite rightly, the sea-scapes will be the showstoppers. If this footage is intended to be an appetizer, then the main dish has most certainly been worth waiting for.
