Things turned ugly at the music launch of actress Rakhi Swant’s new film Mumbai Can Dance Saala when an aspiring actress, believed to be Rakhi’s friend, slapped director Sachindra Sharma in full public view in Mumbai on December 11. The actress, wearing black pants and a printed shirt, attacked Mr Sharma after briefly engaging him in conversation. As per Rakhi’s friend director of the film promised her a role in this film under the condition that she has to do many things to get that role. Rakhi’s friend has directly blamed the director for casting couch.

Actress slaps director on stage accusing him of casting couch:

Rakhi Sawant infamously known for controversies has landed herself in one yet again. But this time it is because of her best friend, Manisha Kumari. During the music launch of the film ‘Mumbai can dance saala’, Rakhi’s friend came on stage and slapped director Sachendra Sharma.

The incident took place on Thursday night where Manisha accused the director of deleting Rakhi’s song from the film. She even told the reporters that the director asked her for favours to get a role in his film. At first, Rakhi was stunned that her friend took such a bold step. After few minutes, she tried hard to calm her down.

The music launch was going smooth then suddenly Rakhi’s friend came on stage and hit the director. Rakhi then intervened, rushing over to pull the two apart and then ushering her friend off-stage, away from the enraged director and security personnel. She appeared to be attempting to calm her down. After lots of drama and fight the actress along with her friend went to police station.

Both Rakhi and her friend then went to Santacruz police station, Mumbai and have reported against the Sachendra Sharma for casting couch and molestation. Rakhi Sawant has strongly come forward to support her friend.

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old actress, who has done an item song in the movie, has come forward in support of her best friend and has alleged that the director misbehaved with her after being slapped.

Speaking to the media persons, Sawant asserted, “She is my best friend. You all were present there and you all know what happened. We have come to the police station as she has been molested on stage.

Both Rakhi and her friend have registered a case against the filmmaker for casting couch and molestation at Santacruz police station in Mumbai. The FIR has been registered and police is likely to take action soon.

This is not the first time something like this has happened in Bollywood. Earlier this year, ‘One By Two’ actress Geeta Tyagi slapped director Subhash Kapoor for molesting her. Geeta even took Twitter to post a video recorded from a hidden camera, commenting “confession of the sexual abuser”.
