17-Year-Old Dies After Getting Mauled By Great White Shark In Australia

A teen from Australia died after being bitten by a shark, which is the 10th attack in the country by the sharks this year alone.

According to reports, Mani Hart-Deville, the 17-year-old boy, had his legs mauled by a great white shark.

According to a report by the news.com.au, the great white shark made multiple passes at the 17-year-old boy.

Fellow beachgoers tried to fend off the shark.

It is said that Deville was treated on the beach but died on the scene.

Jim Simmons, the mayor of nearby Clarence Valley, said in a statement:

What’s happened there this afternoon would shake everybody. It’s terribly shocking. All of our sympathies, from people in the area, go out to the boy’s family.

The attack happened off the Woolie Beach, which is on the eastern coast of the country, near the Coffs Harbour.
