Yes, a hungry stray cat getting fed by a dog.
Pudding, the dog, was filmed by his owner Ms. Fu outside their house feeding a stray cat that had wandered there.
The incident happened in Weifang, which is located in the Shandong Province.
Fung shared the clip on Douyin, the original Chinese version of TikTok, where users fell in love with Pudding for his kind actions.
The video was later shared by People’s Daily, China on Facebook along with the caption: “The beginning of a friendship! The owner initially thought that the dog could have been using the food as a trap to try and lure the cat over a fight, however, when she saw the incident, she was overwhelmed.
Fung, who said her family got Pudding about 2 years ago, said:
I caught the moment by chance. It happened in the courtyard outside our house. I was working downstairs that day when I heard our dog barking at the top of the steps. When I looked over, I saw it going to its kennel to fetch its meat bun, then it barked again. That’s when I noticed the cat at the top of the steps. I thought it was going to use the bun as bait in order to catch or fight the cat. I never [imagined] what happened next – our dog gave the meat bun to the cat. The cat was scared and wouldn’t come down the steps, so our dog stood back and kept its distance, allowing the cat to approach. I was very touched by the moment, because our dog is a guard dog, and usually very protective of its food.
Such a good doggo he is.
