Deer Tore French Hunter’s Skin From His Face While Trying To Escape

A French hunter ended on the wrong end of the table when a deer tore his skin from his face as it tried to escape.

Vincent Saubion, the French hunter, was struck in the face by the deer in a forest in Lesperon, which is located in the south-western French region of the Landes.

Vincent was struck in the face while he was hunting.

He was left with a horrific wound across his face before the 150-kilogram deer managed to escape from being hunted down by the 36-year-old and his friends.

Vincent, who is originally from Basque, said, “The deer hit me in the face as it tried to carry on.”

The hunter said he was losing a lot of blood from the injury, but that didn’t change his mind.

Despite the huge wound on his face, Vincent reportedly wanted to continue hunting with his pals.

Talking about his injury, Vincent said, “It felt like I was drunk, but it actually took half my face off.”

A fellow hunter told Vincent that he should stop the hunt.

The fellow hunters later called over a firefighter, who was part of the group so Vincent could receive a much needed first aid.

But upon checking, the group realized that the injury of Vincent was so severe.

The group ended up calling the authorities, who sent out a helicopter to fly him out of the forested region to airlift him to the hospital.

He later underwent a medical emergency.

According to reports, Vincent was given about 50 stitches to his face at the Pellegrin Hospital in Bordeaux.

Vincent said, “I am grateful because there was more fear than actual harm. I haven’t broken anything and I feel as good as I can be.”

The incident originally happened in January, and if you think the incident would stop Vincent from hunting again, you’re wrong.

Vincent said he will continue hunting despite the incident.

The hunter said, “I am still crazy about hunting. I am very involved in the community, and have nothing but respect for the game and the owners who let us hunt on their grounds.”

If I was Vincent, I would quit hunting.
