Family Comes Home To Find An Adorable Koala Hanging Out In Their Christmas Tree

A family from Australia found an adorable koala hanging out in their Christmas tree before this Christmas.

Christmas came early for Amanda McCormick and her family in Australia after they found a gift in their house, and the best thing about it was that it was not located under the tree, instead, it was in the tree.

The family returned to their house this week just to find an unexpected addition to their holiday ornaments on their Christmas tree.

It turned out that an adorable koala managed to let herself inside before settling in amongst the branches of their centerpiece.

Sharing the news, McCormick said:

Well, that’s something you don’t see every day. We just came home to a real life koala up our Xmas tree in our lounge room!

The koala managed to sneak inside their house through a backdoor that was left open for their dog.

The koala made themselves home, I guess.

For the family, they said that the koala was the most memorable gift for them. However, they knew they could not keep the little one.

The family took some images of the koala and called rescuers.

Experts from the 1300Koalaz came to relocate the koala.

They were in disbelief about the entire incident, said the family.

The rescuers wrote while sharing the incident:

This evening our hotline operator took a call. At first she thought she was the victim of a prank call. But no, a koala desperate to get in the Christmas spirit had wandered into Amanda McCormick’s house and decided it wanted to be the fairy on the Christmas tree.

The rescuers managed to safely remove the koala from the tree of the family and brought her to a safer place.

Such an amazing thing to share with everyone at such times.
