A young man was seen taking his massive 12 feet long python out for a long walk without any safety on a street in the United Kingdom.

People that saw the entire incident were amazed and terrified to see what happened.

The incident happened in Brighton, East Sussex, on Tuesday this week.

Concerned locals called the authorities right away, who later confronted the man on his unusual and very dangerous behavior.

The authorities ended up telling the man to take the python back to his house.

Erik Selby, a bystander, caught the entire moment on camera after he got to know about the incident when he was working inside his office.

Selby said:

It was really surprising to see. There was a lot of commotion and somebody said something about a snake, but I thought they meant a tiny snake. I had seen a big yellow thing on the floor, but it didn’t even cross my mind that was a snake at first. I went as close as I could, and I was suddenly like that’s the snake.

Erik recorded the entire incident slithering around.

The snake also leaned towards a window.

2 police officers told the young man that he should remove the dangerous animal from the street as it could cause damage.

The young teen took the snake and it was wrapped around his neck when he was leaving.

It is believed that the young man was there to film the snake for their YouTube channel, where they post videos of reptiles visiting places that they should not be present at.

Erik also talked about the conversation the young man and the police had.

Erik recalled:

The man was arguing ‘how is this different to walking a dog?’ The officers didn’t answer back to that. They kept encouraging him to take the snake home. They were as baffled as anyone else. They were saying how it was an interesting end to a shift.

The Sussex Police released a statement about the incident, where they said:

Police were called to Ship Street in Brighton at 2.35pm on Tuesday (September 29), following concern for the welfare of a large snake that was being carried in the street. It was reported that the snake had been dropped to the ground and being used for filming with people being invited to hold it. The young man with the snake agreed to return it to his car and was escorted back to his vehicle.
