German Firefighters Rescue Fat Rat That Got Stuck In Sewer Grate

A fat rodent was rescued by an entire team of firefighters after she got stuck sewer grate.

The chubby little lady, with a whole lot of winter fat, was found stuck in a manhole in Bensheim, a town in Germany.

A massive was rescue operation was launched, but the efforts failed.

Michael Sehr, an animal rescuer, released a statement about the incident.

Michael said, “She had a lot of winter flab and was stuck fast at her hip — there was no going forward or back.”

A dramatic video of the incident shows at least 7 German firefighters lifting the manhole before lassoing the pest and setting her free.

The rat went right into the Bensheim’s sewerage underbelly.

You may wonder why the firefighters did all that to save a rodent?

Well, Sehr, the animal rescuer, said animals need to be respected too.

In his own words, he said, “Even animals that are hated by many deserve respect.”

Looks like ratatouille’s mom got out of hand.
