According to Stuart McKenzie, a member of the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7, the fire started in the bush-land near the Peregian Beach and the Peregian Breeze.

Stuart said the fire was so huge that it was one of the biggest and worst fires ever seen in the Sunshine Coast.

Stuart, volunteers, and a number of rescue groups went on to help and look injured animals.

Stuart, who has a soft spot for snakes, was keeping an eye out for snakes, and it didn’t take him long enough to find one.

Stuart said he saw a carpet python under a tree root.

Stuart said the snake was lucky to survive the massive bush fire.

The snake was thirsty, and Stuart realized that he wanted to drink water.

Stuart believes the snake appreciated the drink that he offered to the scared snake.

Stuart brought the snake to a local vet to make sure it was okay.

According to Stuart, the vet said that the snake didn’t show any signs of being injured or sick.

After the checkup, Stuart released the snake into a patch of bush that was not affected by the massive fire.

Stuart and other volunteers helped snakes and a lot of animals during their search and rescue operations.

Stuart has a message for people who leave near bushy areas.

“If you live near bush, especially in the bushfire-affected areas, it might be worth putting some water out in a dish for the local wildlife,” McKenzie wrote.

Thanks for your kind work, Stuart!
