A heartless and coward bodybuilder has been sentenced to spend time behind bars for brutally murdering his pet cat.

29-year-old Aaron Nicholas Chapman reportedly threw his cat to the floor before piercing a knife through its neck.

The reason behind the crime? The cat ate his marijuana.

Bodmin Magistrates’ Court heard that Chapman swung the poor animal to the ground, hit it on the ground, and killed it in a very heartless manner.

Instead of taking the cat to a veterinary clinic, Chapman cut its throat in an attempt to remove the marijuana.

He was also enraged that it had eaten his marijuana.

Chapman, who is from Bodmin, Cornwall, pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

It was reported that the horrible acts happened from December 1, 2018 to January 31, 2019.

Chapman also admitted that the destroyed a mobile phone of a former partner.

An immediate custodial sentence was given to Chapman due to the horrific nature of the crime that he had committed.

Chapman was given an 18 week jail time for the 2 crimes that he committed.

Chapman runs a building company.

He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £120 and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Chapman was also banned from keeping animals for his entire life.
