Poor Fox Rescued By Experts After Accidentally Getting Its Head Stuck In Car Wheel
A poor adorable fox accidentally managed to get its head stuck into a car wheel and had to be rescued by experts.
According to reports, the unlucky fox managed to peer inside an alloy wheel during a playful day and failed to get back out.
The good thing is that someone spotted the fox and reported it.
The RSPCA along with skilled firefighters rescued the fox with the help of specialized equipment to cut through the metal.
The fox was seen in a garden of Addiscombe Court Road in Croydon, south London, on May 21, 2020.
The homeowners of the garden said that they had been storing a spare wheel, which is the one where the fox got trapped.
The homeowners tried to apply grease on the neck of the fox, however, it did not work and the fox became distressed, said Kirstie, the owner of the garden.
During an interview with Metro News UK, Kirstie said:
This poor fox was really struggling to free himself and was terrified, so I knew we had to act quickly. His neck had swollen from where he’d been desperately tugging his head, so there was no way he was going to pull himself free. Thankfully the London Fire Brigade were able to spare a bit of time to come out to the home, and while we waited, I offered him some water which he was grateful for! ‘The fire officers used special equipment to cut through the metal and free the fox. I checked the fox over and as he wasn’t injured I was able to release him. I’m so grateful to the London Fire Brigade for sparing some of their time to help this fox – he really wouldn’t have been able to free himself without help from us all.
The good thing about this is that Kirstie spotted the fox and called the authorities right away instead of just letting the fox suffer or eventually die.
If you see something like this in the future, you want to call the authorities right away, especially if you think the animal that you just got to see is a dangerous one.
