Dani, a puppy from Ohio, had her mouth duct-taped and her throat cut when she was found on the side of a road.

Richard Jones, the Sheriff at the Butler County, said the dog is doing well now and is being treated.

Sheriff Richard Jones tweeted on Friday and said, “We will not tolerate these actions period. Not now or ever.”

The puppy was found on the side of a road in Ohio on August 17, 2019, by a resident from Madison Township.

The resident was on a walk when the puppy was seen struggling. Dani was rushed to a vet where she was treated immediately.

The Dog Warden of Butler County is asking help from the community of Ohio in helping them locate the owner of the poor puppy.

An investigation has also been launched.

Sheriff Jones said, “This is appalling, words cannot describe the disgust I’m feeling right now, we will work diligently to find who did this and seek justice.”

The office of the sheriff said that they are working together with the vet to help Dani recover.

The Sheriff’s office also thanked everyone for their support and for the ones who want to take care of Dani after she gets out of the hospital.
