A woman from Wirral, UK, was left terrified after stumbling upon a massive 8ft long boa constrictor that was wrapped around the sink of her bathroom.
Yes, that happened and I’m scared to enter my bathroom right now.
According to reports, the police rushed to the first-floor flat of the woman in Birkenhead, Wirral, after they were informed about the incident.
For clarification, the woman does not own a snake.
The massive snake was found curling up between her sink and bath.
The snake was around 8ft long and was wrapped around the fittings.
The officers were left flabbergasted, said a number of reports.
The police and the woman that owns the house along with the neighbors do not know how the snake got inside the house.
The first responders did not get the snake, so Constable Chris Eastwood from the Matrix team was brought to the scene.
The spokesperson of the Merseyside Police released a statement about the incident.
The statement reads:
Constable Eastwood has knowledge of snakes and handling them and when he arrived confirmed it was a boa constrictor. He was able to calmly approach the reptile, which had wrapped itself around the bathroom sinks and taps, and after giving it a drink of water was able to coax it to unravel itself so that he could put it into a large, safe container.
After the rescue was done, the snake was housed at a local pet rescue.
The snake is doing well, said the authorities.
No one really knows how the snake managed to get inside the house and even the bathroom of the family.
Boa constrictors are not venomous, but they are capable of killing large animals.
