Australian Sisters Charge $26 Per Hour To Decorate Christmas Trees

Most of the time, people end up spending a lot of money during the festival season because they have to buy gifts or decors so they can decorate their house.

But 2 sisters in Australia earns during the holidays.

30-year-old Veronika Gentile and 40-year-old Giovanna Avati, the 2 sisters, grew up watching their mother build coordinated Christmas trees each year.

When they were young, their mum wouldn’t allow them to help during the decoration time. But one thing they did was to take notes.

Fast forward to adulthood, the 2 sisters would spend a lot of money and time on their Christmas Trees, and their friends would appreciate their trees.

Veronika, who has 2 kids, said, “Four years ago I told my husband I wanted to deck out the house for Christmas.”

Veronika added, “I started getting a lot of attention from friends, they loved my ornaments, and one of them even asked if I would set up their tree for them.”

At first, they would decorate the Christmas trees for free, but after some time, they started to charge $26 per hour.

The sisters said it usually takes them 2 to 3 hours to decorate a Christmas tree.

2019 has been their best and the busiest year so far.

Before December 1, 2019, the 2 sisters earned around $416, which is enough to cover their Christmas lunch as a family.

The sisters said their clients are those people who are too busy during the festive season.

Veronika and Giovanna, mostly use ornaments on the trees.

The 2 sisters prefer using budget-friendly materials.

The sisters said, “At the moment we’ve only used what people provide us. They tend to leave us a box of things and we get to work.”

Talking about their decorations, Veronika said, “It’s all about positioning. For my own tree, I place my ornament, stand back and figure out if it works in that space. I do the same thing for other people.”

The sisters tend to steer away from tinsel and go with oversized flowers and classic colors, which include green, red, gold, and silver.

Consider it as a good thing or not, they earn a lot of bread during the holidays!
